Biography for Paula Getty, C.Ht., B.S.<\/h3>\n

Paula Getty is a Certified Hypnotherapist. She is also certified in Therapeutic Imagery. She received her training at the Hypnosis Motivation Institute, a nationally accredited school for hypnotherapy. She received her degree in Psychology from the University of Idaho in 1988. She now has a successful private practice in Chatsworth, California.<\/p>\n
Paula specializes in working with people that are ill or those that have\u00a0 cancer. She has extensive personal experience working with\u00a0 patients, their family members and end of life issues through her work with Hospice of the Conejo. Paula teaches Relaxation and Guided Imagery classes at The Cancer Support Community in Westlake and The Foothills (a retirement and assisted living facility) in Simi Valley. She has taught Introduction to Hypnotherapy and Stress Reduction workshops at The Disney Family Cancer Center in Burbank. She has a deep sense of compassion and understanding for others along with a strong sense of commitment to assisting her clients through these life challenges.<\/p>\n
Paula also specializes in sports performance and helping others achieve the optimum in intellectual achievement and personal growth. An elite athlete in high school and college, as well as a distinguished member of the Ventura County Sports Hall of Fame, she has the knowledge and the ability to help others achieve the pinnacle of performance that they desire in their lives. Paula\u00a0 worked with the boys and girls basketball teams at St. Genevieve High School\u00a0for 3 years\u00a0as their \u201cMind Coach\u201d. She does guided imagery and visualization with teams to help them perform at their best.<\/p>\n
Paula enjoys speaking to others about the many ways hypnosis can improve quality of life on all levels. She has worked with clients on a variety of concerns, including stress reduction, test anxiety, panic attacks, fears and phobias, \u00a0quitting smoking, weight loss, emotional well being, as well as self confidence and self esteem. Everyone has moments of challenge and it is Paula\u2019s commitment to assist those who are in need.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
